Many of you know about the documentary that gone viral last week on the internet: Kony 2012. If you haven't watched it, I am sure that you have already heard about it or shared your own opinion with your friends or your family. Only last week it had tens of millions of views on YouTube and this is probably only the beginning.
The co-founder of the project Invisible Children, Jason Russell, has been detained by the police and hospitalized in San Diego this Thursday. What was the reason? He was taken to a medical facility after he was found in traffic, standing semi-naked without a particular reason and screaming at people. According to an official statement, he was found "suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition".
San Diego police spokeswoman Andra Brown told AFP news agency: "Officers responded to a radio call to check the welfare of an individual who was said to be running in the street, interfering with traffic, screaming - one person said that he was naked and masturbating."
There is no doubt that this video has been controversial, raising not only awareness in terms of what means terrorism in Uganda and at the same time what is happening with the kidnapped children that are used as army soldiers, but also came under heavy criticism regarding the financing and everything that relates to the money that were invested in this project.
